Autumn Garden Greeting Card - Pam Grimmond

Pam Grimmond is inspired by nature; exploring our relationship with the natural world, she closely observes the seasonal changes in the landscape. Birdlife and the natural forms of trees and plants seen on walks around her home inform her work. She focuses on how places affect her, which acts as inspiration for imaginative possibilities. Colour is used to suggest mood and narrative. Her printmaking practice focuses on creating original lino-prints in limited editions. Engaging closely with the printing process, she layers several blocks of line, colour and texture, using semi-transparent inks in subtle colours. Negotiating the balance between these layers leads to the gradual realisation of her images. She has exhibited widely, receiving several printmaking awards and her work has featured in my publications over the years. She completed her MA Visual Arts: Printmaking, at Camberwell College of Arts in 2018.
