Flora McLachlan studied at Brighton College and then went to Oxford University to study English 1994-97. She returned to art and in 1999 took a Professional Development Diploma in Illustration at West Herts College, Watford. In January, 2008 she was elected as an Associate Membership of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE).
